吴晓波博士现任浙江大学求是特聘创新战略管理教授、浙江大学管理学院院长、浙江大学「创新管理与持续竞争力研究」国家哲学社会科学创新基地主任,以及浙江大学全球浙商研究院院长。他亦是教育部长江学者特聘教授及英国利兹大学讲座教授。同时,他也入选为国家「万人计划」哲学社会科学领军人才。

吴博士兼任国务院学位委员会管理科学与工程评议组委员、全国MBA教育指导委员会委员、教育部高校管理科学与工程类教学指导委员会委员、浙江大学-剑桥大学「全球化制造与创新管理联合研究中心」中方主任、中国管理科学与工程学会常务理事、英国剑桥大学制造研究院创始成员,曾任国际中小企业联合会高级副主席。

多年来,他专司全球网络中的中国企业创新与战略管理教学研究,引领中国经济的健康发展。基于中国及发展中国家的实践,他提出「二次创新」理论,在创新管理、全球化制造与创新战略、信息技术与管理变革,以及包容性创新等领域开展了开拓性的研究。

吴博士已发表学术论文百余篇,并出版了七本着作,其中,《全球化制造与二次创新:赢得后发优势》获浙江省和教育部的优秀成果奖。他也担任《IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management》、《Asian Journal of Technology Innovation》及《管理工程学报》等多本国内外学术期刊编委。他亦从事企业战略管理咨询,且曾任吉利、西门子中国,及海康威视等多家企业的战略顾问和独立董事。

Dr Xiaobo WU is Qiushi Chair Professor of Strategy and Innovation Management, Dean of School of Management, Director of National Institute for Innovation Management, and Director of Global Institute of Zhejiang Merchants Development at Zhejiang University. He is honoured as Chang Jiang Scholar Professor by Ministry of Education in China, and Smiths Chair Professor at Leeds University in the UK.

In China, Dr Wu is a member of Assessment Group of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council, Supervisory Committee of National MBA Education, and Steering Committee for Management Science and Engineering Management of Ministry of Education. He serves as Director of Zhejiang University – Cambridge University Joint Research Centre for Global Manufacturing and Innovation Management. Dr Wu also acts as Managing Director of Society of Management Science and Engineering of China, Founding Member of Institute for Manufacturing in the Cambridge University, and had been elected the Senior Vice President of International Council for Small Business(2011-2012).

For many years, Dr Wu has been focusing on Chinese Business Innovation and Strategy Management in a global context. He has been dedicated to promoting and leading a healthy economic growth in China. Based on the practice in China and developing countries, Dr Wu proposed “Secondary Innovation” theory, which brings out unprecedented research regarding Innovation Management, Global Manufacturing and Innovation Strategy, Information Technology and Management Reform, as well as inclusive innovation.

Dr Wu has published over one hundred academic papers and seven books in his specialized areas. He received Excellent Achievement Prize from the Ministry of Education for his Global Manufacturing and Secondary Innovation: Gaining Late Comer’s Advantage. He is at the editorial boards of several academic journals, including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, and Journal of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. He also serves as Board Member and Strategic Advisor for several well-known companies, including Siemens China, Geely, and Hikvision.
